Virginia “Tot” Mays Parrish

Virginia “Tot” Mays Parrish, 85, Russellville, passed away Monday, Sept. 16, 2013.

Mrs. Parrish was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Parrish; parents, Fred and Alma Mays; her sisters, Nell Herring, Eloise Glasgow, Mavis Brewer; and brother, Melvin Mays.

Survivors include her daughters, Diane Hogan and husband, David, Russellville, and Harriet Miller and husband, Roger, Madison; four grandchildren, Charles Hogan and wife, Stacey, and Jeff Hogan, of Russellville, and Jason Miller and wife, Rebekah, and Ashley Miller, of Madison; four great-granddaughters, Mackinley and Charley Hogan and Madison and Samantha Miller; two great-grandsons, Drew and Cody Boshell; sister, Opal McMurry; brother, Robert Mays and wife, Jeanette; numerous nieces and nephews; and special cousin, A. C. Cleveland.

Visitation will be at 12 – 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2013, at Spry Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. with Eddie Glasgow officiating. Burial will be at Knights of Pythias Cemetery, Russellville.

The family would like to thank their friends and family members for their loving support during this difficult time. The family would like to give a special thanks to Gentiva Hospice and their wonderful caregivers Wanda, Gayle, and Lavern. We appreciate the love and compassion shown to our mother in her final months.
