Beattie, Colburn

Jennifer Gale Colburn of Meridian and Lt. j.g. Jonathan Chapman Beattie, U.S.N. of Chambersburg, Pa., were married Saturday, May 25, 2002, at Fifteenth Avenue Baptist Church in Meridian with the Rev. Jason Bird officiating.
Parents of the couple are Gene and Ann Colburn of Amory, and Ben and Judy Beattie of Chambersburg.
Grandparents of the bride are Annie Colburn and the late John Lee Colburn, and Ada Herring and the late Archie Herring, all of Amory.
Grandparents of the bridegroom-elect are Mr. and Mrs. Alexander Beattie, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Clarke, all of Chambersburg.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Sidney Covington, pianist; and Greer Goldman, organist.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a two-piece gown of white satin with a corsette style bodice and chapel-length train. Her blusher veil of two tier illusion was accented with seed pearls and crystals.
Rhonda C. Weeks of Sulligent, Ala., attended her sister as matron of honor. Other attendants were Camille Weeks of Sulligent, Christy Aldridge of Meridian and Amy Hammett of Grenada.
Claudia Bounds of Oxford was flower girl.
The father of the bridegroom served as best man. Groomsmen were Jeremy Benedict of Chambersburg, Cade Christenson of Huntsville, Ala., and Cord Christensen of Santa Barbara, Calif.
Favor bag attendants were Andee Schurrman, Jessica Bird, Morgan Patterson and Macy Patterson. Program attendant was Megan Abel.
A reception was held at the church following the ceremony.
After a honeymoon in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Charlottesville, Va., the couple resides in Norfolk, Va.
