Hoedown brings friends, family, fun

Hoedown brings friends, family, fun
By Editorial Staff

Did you make it out to the Phil Campbell Hoedown this past weekend? If you haven’t already, make sure to check out the photos in this week’s paper, on pages A1, A4 and B2, or click HERE.

We hope you got a chance to take in the sights and sounds and enjoy the good food, music and shopping with your family and friends.

A festival atmosphere is always special, and each one has something different to offer, despite some similarities.
Sitting around with friends and family, people watching, relaxing, trying festival food, some of which you don’t get a chance to have just anywhere.

Do you have any favorites? Fried Oreos? Ribbon fries? Lemonade? Ice cream?

Perhaps you have a favorite band you got to listen to this weekend, or maybe you discovered a new favorite. If the Hoedown still has you in the festival spirit, you won’t have to wait too long for other opportunities.

Russellville’s annual Jam on Sloss Lake is coming up on July 4, and Vina’s annual July Fest takes place July 29. Before you know it, it’ll be August and you can start planning for the Watermelon Festival in downtown Russellville.

Whatever festivals you’re looking forward to this summer, we hope you have a wonderful time. Keep a watch out in The Franklin County Times for the details.
