Operation Grow

The Alabama Cooperative Extension Services is offering a program for returning veterans.

The Operation Grow program is for military veterans re-entering civilian life.  They may not be able to find a job that offers the same salary or benefits and horticulture is a way for them to boost their income.  The operation grow series includes sessions covering a wide range of agriculture topics. The program will be held May 21 at the Franklin County Extension Office. To register please call 256-332-8880. Sessions run from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.  and lunch is provided to registered participants.

Once the appropriate exams have been passed, one must apply for certification through this office.  If an applicator plans to start a business in the state of Alabama, a license will also be required.
