Johnny Ray Cantrell, 73, died Friday, May 9, 2014 at Russellville Hospital.  He was born in Alabama to Daze and Shelly Cantrell.  He attended Hodges Convention Baptist Church.

Services were Monday, May 12, at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, with Bro. Steve Ledbetter officiating.  Burial was in Hodges Cemetery.

Survivors include three children, Darla Cantrell of Sheffield, Chris Cantrell and wife, Denieta, and Donnie Cantrell all of Vina; four grandchildren, J.P. Cantrell, Erica Cantrell, Hailey Cantrell and Amanda Robinson; five great grandchildren, Landon Cantrell, Xander Cantrell, Freya Cantrell, Landon Robinson and Lane Robinson; two sisters, Judy Haithcock and JoAnn Williams.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Donna Jo Cantrell; two sisters, Jewell Cole and Wanda Watson; and two brothers, Jack Cantrell and Jimmy Cantrell.

Pallbearers were Channing Haithcock, Tim Cantrell, Kevin Watson, Jason Haithcock, Shannon Fralix and Jeff Williams.

Visitation was Sunday, May 11, at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay and until service time on Monday.
