Robert “Bob” Vernon Brooks

Robert “Bob” Vernon Brooks, 87, Tuscumbia, passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at his residence.

Mr. Brooks served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II.  He was a member of North Highland Baptist Church, Littleville.

The visitation was Monday, April 14, 2014 at Spry Memorial Chapel, Russellville.  The memorial service followed in the chapel. Officiating was Bro. Paul Cummings and Bro. Daniel Delaney.

He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Julia Brooks; children, David Brooks, Timothy Brooks, Kathy Nichols and Jim Howard; several grandchildren; and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Barney and Mable Brooks.
