Authorities looking into business break-in, thefts

A local business was broken into early last Tuesday morning and the Russellville Police Department is looking for information that could lead to an arrest in the case.

Police Lt. Scotty Lowery said By-pass Car Wash on U.S. 43 was broken into during the early morning hours of July 23.

Lowery said money was taken from the change area of the business and some of the equipment was also damaged.

Car wash owner Jorudi Trapp said he was concerned because of reports about similar vandalism at other local businesses, including two on U.S. 43 the week prior.

“I just want to encourage everyone to be a little more alert and if something looks suspicious around a local business, call the police,” he said.

Lowery asked that anyone with information about this case call the RPD at 256-332-2230.
