Graveside services for Ralph E. Bartel will be held today at 10 a.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Jim Meadows officiating. James F. Webb Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Bartel, 75, of Meridian, died Thursday at his home. He was a retired Long Tractor dealer and was a member of Lost Gap Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Rena Bartel, and his daughter, Rena Elizabeth Adams, both of Meridian; granddaughters, Judy Womack and Lisa Moody; five great-grandchildren, a sister, Irene Henry, and brothers, Wayne Langbartel, Gene Langbartel and Bill Langbartel.
PHILADELPHIA Services for Billie Winkler will be held today at 3 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Dennis Duvall and Chris Vowell officiating. Burial will be in Cedarlawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Winkler, 88, of Philadelphia, died Thursday, Sept. 25, 2003, at Neshoba County Nursing Home. She was a retired secretary for an animal clinic. Born in Selma, Ala., she lived in Auburn, Ala., for a few years. She made her home in Philadelphia since 1950. She was a member of the First Baptist Church where she taught 2-year-old Sunday school for many years.
Survivors include two daughters, Edwina White and her husband, Jerome, of Philadelphia and Marsha Senior and her husband, Xiomier of Atlanta; four grandchildren, Amanda Murphy and Wade Hancock, both of Philadelphia and Xiomar Senior and Vanessa Senior, both of Atlanta; a stepgrandson, David White of Philadelphia; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Howard W. Winkler; and a stepgrandson, Terry J. White.
Pallbearers will be Keith Hancock, Floyd Burt, Ricky Stokes, Dr. Duane Stokes, Mike Price and Jim Houston.
SEBASTOPOL Services for Edna Hickman will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at Bogue Chitto Baptist Church with the Rev. Doby Henry officiating. Burial will be in Bogue Chitto Cemetery. Milling Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Hickman, 65, of Philadelphia, died Friday, Sept. 26, 2003, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include her husband, Everette Hickman; daughters, Alice Isaac and Elizabeth Hickman; sons, Robert Lee Hickman and Ronnie Hickman, all of Philadelphia; 14 grandchildren and one sister, Martha Bell, of Philadelphia.
She was preceded in death by her sons, Ralph Hickman and Johnny Hickman.
Services for Zelda Covington Terry will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Prospect Presbyterian Church with the Revs. Raymon Leake and Dr. Reid Whittington officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Barham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Terry, 92, of Meridian, died Thursday, Sept. 25, 2003, at Heartfelt Hospice.
Visitation will be Sunday from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Services for Timothy L. Hill will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Mt. Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev. Al Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Cemetery. Berry &Gardner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Hill, 32, of Meridian, died Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2003, at Riley Hospital. He was a retired employee of Magnolia Steel.
Survivors include his wife, Tomeka Hill; two daughters, Tyler B. Hill and Tyosha B. Hill; and a son, Timothy J. Hill III, all of Meridian; his father, Herbert Smith Sr. of Tampa, Fla.; a sister, Robin Hill of Meridian; four brothers, Herbert Smith Jr., of Birmingham, Ala., Quincy Hill, Dominique Hill and Jonathan Hill, all of Meridian.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
Visitation will be Sunday from 6 p.m.-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
