Sid Salter, left, a syndicated political columnist and perspective editor of The Clarion Ledger, chats today with Caroline Wilson of the Bailey community. Salter was the featured speaker at the East Mississippi Business Development Corp.'s Business Before Hours meeting at Mississippi State University-Meridian Campus. Salter talked about the 2003 Legislature and economic development issues and speculated on the upcoming 2003 elections. "The only thing required for political expertise is a lot of birthdays," Salter said. Today's event was sponsored by The Meridian Star.
