MCC earns 2nd tourney victory

Meridian Community College won its second game in the Pensacola, Fla., Christmas Tournament on Saturday night.
The Lady Eagles, now 8-2, whipped Snead State XCC 74-45.
Meridian was led by Monique Horner and JaWanda Huggins who had 16 points apiece. Chelse Alford added 13 points.

Monique Horner scored 25 of her team high 29 points in the second half to rally the Meridian Community College Lady Eagles to an 86-83 win over Georgia Perimeter CC on Friday night at the Pensacola Community College Christmas Tournament in Pensacola, Fla.
Meridian trailed 47-25 at the half. But behind Horner's hot-shooting, the the Lady Eagles scored 61 points in the second half to take the three-point win.
MCC improves to 7-2 overall.
Chelse Alford tossed in 21 points and JaWanda Huggins added 14.
