Mrs. Nealey, 86, of Gilbertown, died Sunday, Nov. 24, 2002, Washington County Infirmary in Chatom, Ala.

Survivors include her husband, Bibb Nealey; a son, Earlrae Nealey and his wife, Mary Olive, all of Gilbertown; a brother, John H. Hendrix of Chappell Hill, Ala.; and seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her sons, Nelson and Jimmy Nealey.
Visitation will be today 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Services for Walter Curtis Couch Jr. will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at Central United Methodist Church with the Revs. Jimmy Harrison and Vickie Landrum officiating. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Quitman. Barham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Couch of Meridian, died Monday, Nov. 25, 2002, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was born in Quitman and had been a resident of Meridian for more than 32 years. He was vice president of operations at Nazareth Century Mills in Quitman before starting Couch Engineering P.A., where he was owner and president.
He was a member of Central United Methodist Church where he served on the board of trustees, the American Consulting Engineers Council and the Mississippi Professional Engineers Society. He was a graduate of Mississippi State University and served as an officer in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Bettye Waller Couch of Meridian; daughters, Helen Ann Riley and her husband, Larry, of Quitman; and Effie Minkler and her husband, Rick, of Gautier; sons, Walter Curtis Couch III and his wife, Temple, of Houston, Texas, and Murry Weaver and his wife, Laurie, of Atlanta; five granddaughters, Edie Riley, Lisa Whigham and her husband, Billy, of Quitman, Allee Anderson of New Orleans, Cassie Anderson of Gautier and Elizabeth Weaver of Atlanta; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Curtis and Effie Stainback Couch.
Pallbearers will be Jim Bass, Thomas R. Jones, Dr. Earl Laird, Irvin Martin, Dr. Charles Wilkinson, Don McCleskey, Ranny Cross and Jerry Greene.
Honorary pallbearers will be Hal Dabbs, Dr. Walter Gunn, Gerald Crudup, Arjin Lagendijk, Claiborn Trawick, Fred Everett and Jimmy Sykes.
Memorials may be made to Central United Methodist Church or the American Heart Association.
Visitation will be today 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
WILLIE MAE DOWNEY JENKINS
GILBERTOWN, Ala. Services for Willie Mae Downey Jenkins were held Monday at 2 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Clovis Lewis officiating. Burial was in Gilbertown Cemetery.
Mrs. Jenkins, 70, of Gilbertown, died Saturday, Nov. 23, 2002, in her home.
Survivors include her husband, Lindsey Jenkins of Gilbertown; sons, Rance Downey of Bossier City, La., Randy Downey,of Gilbertown and Grady Downey Jr. of Meridian; brothers, Clarence Adams of Atlanta, Kenny Adams of Gilbertown and Clyne Adams of Cullman, Ala.; sisters, Ruth Taylor of Tibbie, Ala., and Ann Young of Houston, Texas; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
