Survivors include his wife, Margaret Laney of Meridian; daughters, Ginny Mullen of Madison and Susie Griffis Corbitt of Irving, Texas; a son, David R. Laney of Spring, Texas; grandchildren, Kristin Schilling, Melanie Powell, Wright Griffis, Cristi Laney, Leslie Laney and Kaitlyn Laney; a brother, Hubert Laney of Farmers Branch, Texas; and a sister, Inez Satterwhite of Rockport, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Oliver David and Virginia Laney; and a brother, Albert R. Laney.
Pallbearers will be Tim Corbitt, Rich Mullen, Walter Tucker, Thomas Powell, Wright Griffis and Tommy Walker.
Visitation will be today 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

PHILADELPHIA Services for George M. "Mike" Hailey will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Service Chapel. Burial will be in Hailey-Richey Cemetery in Preston.
Mr. Hailey, 52, of Louisville, died Monday, Nov. 11, 2002, at Riley Hospital. He was a native of Winston County. He was a graduate of Philadelphia High School where he was an All-American basketball player. He also played high school basketball at Bruce and Callaway.
He was a graduate of Mississippi State University with a bachelor's degree in history and played college basketball there. He received a master's degree in school administration for the University of Southern Mississippi. He taught and coached at Bruce, Burnsville, Nanih Waiya,and Hancock North Central where he also served as athletic director.
Mr. Hailey retired due to health reasons in 1996. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. He attended Coy United Methodist Church. He was dearly loved by family, friends and students alike.
Survivors include his son, Ben Hailey and his wife, Beth, of Jackson; his parents, George and Ceceile Hailey of Louisville; and a brother, Marc Hailey of Louisville.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Services for Franklin D. McKinney Sr. will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Meridian. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery with Barham Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. McKinney, 66, of Meridian, died Sunday, Nov. 10, 2002, in Birmingham, Ala.
Visitation will be Wednesday 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

PHILADELPHIA Services for Mary Jane Robinson will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at Bogue Chitto Baptist Church with the Rev. Emmitt Denson officiating. Burial will be in Robinson Cemetery. Milling Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Ms. Robinson, 42, of Philadelphia, died Sunday, Nov. 10, 2002, at Choctaw Residential Center.
Survivors include her mother, Janie Robinson; brothers, Leo Robinson, Neman Robinson, Phil Robinson and Edwin Robinson, all of Philadelphia; and several aunts and uncles.
She was preceded in death by her father, Teach Robinson; and a brother, Jennie Robinson.
MARY JO BOYD JONES

UNION Services for Mary Jo Boyd Jones were held Monday at 1 p.m. at Stephens Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Eddie Garrison officiating. Burial was in Jones Family Cemetery.
Mrs. Jones, 63, of Tchula, died Thursday, Nov. 7, 2002, in her home.
Survivors include her husband, William "Henry" Jones of Tchula; a daughter, Naomi Smith and her husband, Del, of Carpentersville, Ill.; a son, Larry W. Jones and his wife, Mary Ann, of Shreveport, La.; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, William "Billy" Jones Jr.; a brother, Tommy A. Boyd; and a great-grandson.
VERA MCDONALD WATSON
YORK, Ala. Services for Vera McDonald Watson were held Monday at 2 p.m. at Bumpers Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ernie Nelson officiating. Burial was in Clay Memorial Cemetery in Cuba, Ala.
Mrs. Watson, 88, of Cuba, died Sunday, Nov. 10, 2002, at Sumter Health Care in York.
Survivors include her daughter, Barbara W. Sessions and her husband, Leonard, and a granddaughter, Lynn S. Boland and her husband, Mike, all of Cuba.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis C. Watson; and a grandson, Jimmy Sessions.
Pallbearers were Cecil Harrell, Wallace Miller, Frank Shannon, Lamar McElroy, Ed McElroy and Ed Stallings.
