Services for Edwin Arlo Joiner were held Friday at 10 a.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Keith Grubbs and Bill Webb officiating. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery in Neshoba County.
Mr. Joiner, 74, of Meridian, died Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2002, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was a retired residential contractor. He was a lifetime member of Midway Baptist Church and was a trustee.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Joiner of Meridian; his daughters, Beth Griffin and her husband, Mason, of Birmingham, Ala., and Beverly Galbraith and her husband, Dale of Meridian; a son, Markey Joiner and his wife, Sky, of Meridian; grandchildren, Jessica Griffin, Win Joiner, Christen Joiner and Candy Cornish; a great-granddaughter, Payton Cornish; sisters, Mazell Watkins, Lillian Rickles and Nanette Winstead; brothers, James A. "Buddy" Joyner, Jessie Q. Joyner Jr. and Billy Joyner.
Pallbearers will be Win Joiner, Mike Joyner, Danny Joyner, Dennis Joyner, Everett Rickles and Mike Ethridge.

QUITMAN Services for Ja Karrius K. Owens were held Friday at Berry and Gardner Funeral Home in Quitman with the Rev. Arthur Lewis officiating. Burial was in Elizabeth Cemetery.
Ja Karrius, 6, of Quitman, died Sunday, Aug. 18, 2002, at H.C. Watkins Memorial Hospital in Quitman.
Survivors include the child's mother, De Agura R. Owens; two brothers, Jeremy and Christopher Holmes, both of Quitman; and the child's grandparents and great-grandparents.
THOMAS MELVIN SANDERFORD

Services for Thomas Melvin Sanderford will be held today at 10 a.m. at Stephens Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Steve Jordan, John Allen Little and Dr. Richard Short officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
Mr. Sanderford, 75, of Meridian, died Thursday, Aug. 22, 2002, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. He is a retired city of Meridian fire captain. He was the former fire chief for Waterways Experimental Station in Vicksburg. He was a retired master sergeant with the 186th Air National Guard and was a member of Jones Memorial Presbyterian Church and attended First Baptist Church in Marion and was a member of Faith Sunday School Class.
Survivors include his wife, Bobbie Tidwell Sanderford; a daughter, Dianne Shannon and her husband, Butch, of Meridian; a son, Thomas Sanderford Jr. of Dalewood; a step-son, Phil Smith, of Meridian; grandchildren April Luke and her husband, Cary, of Collinsville, Amber Shannon of Jackson and Allison Shannon of Starkville; a great-grandchild, Braden Luke of Collinsville and a brother, James Howard Sanderford, and his wife, Dot, of Huntsville, Ala.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Jean Martin Sanderford; his parents, Fred and Exie Sanderford; a sister, Margaret Sanderford Short; and a brother, R.F. Sanderford Jr.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Marion, Jones Memorial Presbyterian Church or a favorite charity.
Pallbearers will be Keith Hales, Randy Touchton, R.W. Williams, Gayle Boyd, Sonny McCarra, R. C. McCary, Pat Kidd and Franklin Crawford. Honorary pallbearers will be city of Meridian firemen, the 186 ANG firemen and all retired firemen.
Visitation will be today one hour before the service at the funeral home.

Services for Lora Christine Buckalew will be held today at 10 a.m. at Jones Chapel Church of God with the Revs. Ron Leonard and James Williams officiating. Burial will be in Jones Chapel Cemetery with Stephens Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Buckalew, 84, of Meridian, died Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2002, at the Specialty Hospital of Meridian.
Survivors include her son, James Buckalew of Meridian; a brother, Leon Anderson of Anniston, Ala.; three sisters, Olis Dearman of Deville, La., Neely Harwell of Moss Point and Josephine Rutledge of Demopolis, Ala.; three nephews, Larry Anderson of Seattle, Ronny Anderson of Duluth, Ga., and Wayne Harwell of Lynchburg, Va.; three nieces, Glenda Jo Parrish of Alexandria, La., Gwenda Dell Garland of Alexander, Ala., and Cathy Jo Clifton of Demopolis, Ala.; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Catherine Anderson; a sister Hazel Cooper, and nephew Allen Rutledge.
Visitation will be today from 9:30 a.m. until service time at the church.

ENTERPRISE Services for Myrtle B. Dear will be held today at 2 p.m. at Enterprise Baptist Church with the Rev. Richard Cothern officiating. Burial will be in Enterprise Cemetery with James F. Webb Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Ms. Dear, 95, of Grenada, died Thursday, Aug. 22, 2002, at Grenada Lake Medical Center.
Survivors include two sisters, Elisabeth Daly of Grenada and Mozelle Atkinson of Houston, Texas; a brother, Fredrick Dear of Jackson; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will today from 1 p.m.-2 p.m. at Enterprise Baptist Church.
