Thomas, White

Rachel Marie White of Newton and Kenneth Ryan Thomas of Toomsuba were married Saturday, Aug. 4, 2001, at First Baptist Church of Newton with Dr. Frank Harmon officiating.
Parents of the couple are Jim and Cris White of Newton, and Kenny and Faye Thomas of Toomsuba.
Grandparents of the bride are James White and the late Matty Well White; and Bud and Hazel Bowlin.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are Myrtle Collier and the late James Noland; Ruth Thomas and the late Kenneth L. Thomas.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Diane Nelson, pianist; Joe Pugh, organist; and Elane Finley, soloist.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents. She wore a formal-length gown of white tulle and satin featuring a full skirt with ballroom silhouette and a pearl and crystal encrusted bodice. A chapel-length train extended from the Basque waistline. Her fingertip-length veil of bridal illusion fell from a crystal encrusted silver tiara.
Matron of honor was Jennifer White Wigginton of Starkville. Other attendants were Kristy Brashier, Amanda Yates and Shannon Eubanks, all of Meridian, Susan Spain of Memphis and Dana Adams of Starkville. Mallory Ivey of Memphis was flower girl.
Chris Paige of Toomsuba was best man. Groomsmen and ushers were John David Hardy of Columbus, Kenneth Godsey of Columbia, S.C., Tony Lucas of Lexington, Ky., Webb Sabin of Greenwood and Cameron May of Meridian. Christopher Noland of Edmond, Okla., was ring bearer.
Register attendant were Christa Finley and program attendant was Lauren Finley.
A reception was held at Newton Country Club following the ceremony. Assisting were Carrie Latham, Rita Flint and Casey Cottrill.
After a honeymoon in Nassau, in the Bahamas, the couple resides in Starkville.
