The West Lauderdale Knights squeaked by Carthage Friday night, taking a 60-58 decision.
The Knights got a last minute tip-in from Lee Nelson, to keep the game from going into overtime.
After just missing two free throws, Nelson happened to be in the right place at the right time.
The Knights sported a 27-20, halftime lead; however, Carthage took a one point lead early in the third quarter.
As the Knights rely on the three point shot, Boo Ramsey hit a key three pointer in the middle of the third quarter, to put the Knights back on top.
Ramsey led the Knights with 17, Karlos Lewis and Calvin Moore added 11 apiece.
Ramsey had to take charge, after Moore went out with a back injury late in the game.
The Tigers were led by Wilfred Fletcher with 18, and Robert Kelly tossed in 12.
The Knights will hit the road as they travel to cross-county rival Northeast on Monday.
The Tigers will also be on the road, visiting Nanih Waiya on Monday.

The Lady Knights were led in scoring by Amy Frazier, who tossed in 16 points for the Lady Knights.
