Industrial park work day dedicated to Glen Deweese

By Staff
Special to The Star
Nov. 2, 2001
The memory of the late Glen Deweese will be honored today and tomorrow as volunteers continue ground-clearing work at the site of a future industrial park on Interstate 20/59.
Deweese, who died in October, was a longtime Meridian businessman and former chairman of the East Mississippi Business Development Corp.
The two-day event will involve 15 to 25 pieces of equipment donated by local businesses to assist with the cutting of trees and undergrowth, and the moving of dirt. The improvements will allow industrial prospects to better visualize the fully-realized park.
For more information, call the EMBDC at 693-1306.
