Quitman regroups, takes on Greene Co.

The Quitman Panthers were forced to take a day off due to the terrorist attacks in New York and Washington D.C.
The Panthers are coming off a disappointing 20-12 loss at Collins last week. Faulkner said his team must work on giving way cheap touchdowns.
The veteran coach was also disappointed in his team's physical condition during the Collins game.
Quitman's two scores against Collins came on a 15-yard touchdown run by quarterback Prentiss Davis and a four-yard run by Vance McClendon.
Greene County, 0-2, is coming off a 17-7 loss to George County last week. The Bulldogs have scored 21 points in two games while giving up 46 for a 23-point per game average.
Enterprise
at Kemper County
The Enterprise High School Bulldogs will try for a 3-0 record when they take on winless Kemper County on Friday in Dekalb.
Coach Jud Gartman's team is coming off a thrilling 28-26 win over South Leake last week. Kemper comes in at 0-2.
Against South Leake, Enterprise rallied from a 20-14 halftime deficit with two second half touchdowns.
Davion Davis scored on a four-yard run while Kelly Jimmerson had a 27-yard TD run. Michael Swancy booted four extra point kicks.
Jimmerson finished with 118 yards off 18 carries.
Zeb McClain, who had a 13-yard fumble return for another Enterprise squad, leads the Bulldog defense.
Wayne County (2-0)
at Laurel (2-0)
The seventh ranked Laurel Golden Tornadoes have been impressive with two straight wins over 5A powers Meridian and Hattiesburg. Next up is ninth ranked Wayne County who beat Mendenhall 24-23 in overtime last week.
In last year's meeting in Waynesboro, Laurel tagged Wayne County with a 12-6 loss. It was one of three wins against 5A teams last year in their run to a 13-1 record and a 4A semifinalist finish.
Wayne County is paced by quarterback Akeem Lofton and a big defensive line.
Senior defensive tackle Willie Evans (6-3, 260) anchors the Warhawks front. Linebackers Brodie Jones and Fred Miller are two of the top tacklers.
Laurel, who ripped Hattiesburg 41-14 last week, is led by halfbacks John Moffett and Harold Hadley. Moffett had a 28-yard TD run against Meridian.
Wayne Academy
at Tri-County Academy
Wayne Academy heads to Flora to face Tri-County Academy in a non-district contest.
Wayne is 2-0 on the season while Tri-County comes in at 1-1. Tri-County won last year's meeting 27-18.
Wayne has been dominating in their two wins outscoring opponents 27-3. This includes a 28-0 season opening win over Lamar School. Last week, Wayne turned back Leake Academy 26-6.
Tri-County has shown a good offense avergaing 23.5 points per game. But their defensive unit has allowed 17.5 ppg.
