Lady Trojans pound Tigers in 24-2 win

The Northeast Lady Trojans dropped the hammer on the Southeast Lady Tigers Thursday night with a impressive 24-2 win.
The first inning brought in an RBI for Southeast on the bat of Megan Brown (2-2, double, 2 RBI's) while holding the Lady Trojans scoreless.
During the second inning, however, the Lady Trojan bats started heating up and Northeast took control of the game.
It started with a single from Jana Olczak (4-4, double, triple, 6 RBI's) that brought in the first run. This was followed by two RBI's from Capri Norris (2-4, 2 RBI's) and Katie Bergin (3-4, double, RBI).
Lauren Webb (3-4, 2 doubles, 3 RBI's) knocked in two RBI's off a double followed by Raleigh Odom (3-4, triple, double, 2 RBI's) and G.A. Watkins (3-4, triple, 5 RBI's) both knocking in a run. At the bottom of the inning Jenniffer Bristow (4-4, 2 doubles, 2 RBI) knocked in 2 runs followed by a double by Amber Gray (3-4, 2 doubles, RBI) to send in one more run.
The Tigers managed to score one more run in the third while the Trojans racked up another three.
The fourth inning brought an onslaught of hitting that started with a run sent home off the bat of April Harper (2-4, RBI). The streak continued with two runs sent in from from an Olczak double and one more from Norris.
Odom brought another home followed by a triple ripped to center field by Watkins bringing in two more.
The final blow came with three runs brought home of a triple from Olczak.
The Lady Trojans look ahead to a tough Friday night game against Newton County, 6:30p.m. at the Northeast Park. The Trojans are 4-0.
Other multiple hitters for Northeast include Blair Rawson (2-4, double, RBI) while Southeast had Lindsey Raines (3-3, double) and Laura Carmicheal (2-2).
