The Meridian Community College Foundation has received inquiries from several Meridian High School reunion classes about making memorial contributions to the Charles A. Armstrong Scholarship Endowment.
Armstrong, who served as principal of Meridian High School from 1964-1980, died July 20, 2001, at the age of 82. He was buried Saturday at Newton Masonic Cemetery following funeral services at First Baptist Church in Meridian.
Contributions to the scholarship endowment may be made in the form of checks payable to The MCC Foundation and sent to 910 Highway 19 North, Meridian, MS 39307. Acknowledgement cards will be sent to the Armstrong family.
