Field of 42 set for Northwood women's tourney

By By Marty Stamper/The Meridian Star

While the weather may be much hotter than what they're accustomed to for this event, a field of 42 women's teams are ready to tee it up Saturday morning in the annual Northwood Country Club Ladies Invitational Scramble.
Two of the top teams entered are former state am champs Lou Hart and Pam Posey and the mother-daughter tandem of Margaret Carver and Amy Carver. Also entered are 2001 state am championship flighters Cindy Hollingsworth and Dale Bounds.
Maples would also like to see the Northwood ladies' numbers increase.
