DEKALB Kemper County Sheriff Sam Tisdale continued to improve today after undergoing weekend treatment for a blocked artery.
McGrevey said Tisdale went to his doctor for a check-up early last week. His doctor recommended additional tests and scheduled him for a treadmill test on Thursday. McGrevey said the doctor became concerned about the test results and admitted Tisdale to Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
Tisdale underwent additional testing and physicians discovered a blocked artery, McGrevey said.
He said Tisdale underwent a procedure to clear the artery Friday evening and was released over the weekend.
The sheriff is expected to work limited hours this week, McGrevey said.
