VANCE, BRIDGES

Alesa Leigh Bridges and Carlton Chadwick Vance, both of Atlanta, were married Saturday, Sept. 23, 2000, at Town and Country Chapel in Kennesaw, Ga., with the Rev. William Rodgers officiating.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Tom Bridges of Meridian and Mr. and Mrs. Gene Vance of Collinsville.
Grandparents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Russell L. Bridges of McDonough, Ga., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Clifford P. McCleskey of Decatur, Ga.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are Helen Vance of Meridian and the late Odell Vance; Mr. and Mrs. Frank McNair of Philadelphia.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Jayne M. Love, aunt of the bride, organist.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a formal-length candlelight gown featuring a bodice of overlaid lace and a slim skirt. A scooped neckline and off-the-shoulder sleeves of lace completed the vintage look.
Her headpiece of rose petals and pearls with a shoulder-length veil were handmade by a family friend. She carried a bouquet of hand-tied pale yellow oceanic roses and baby's breath.
Maid of honor was Jacie M. Bridges of Meridian.
Jonathan Vance of Collinsville served his brother as best man.
The family of the bridegroom hosted a buffet dinner at the Front Page News Restaurant in Midtown, Atlanta, following the ceremony.
After a honeymoon in the North Georgia Mountains, the couple resides in Atlanta.
HARPER, SHARP
Breckin Marjory Sharp and Jerry Randall Harper were married Saturday, Oct. 21, 2000, at First Baptist Church of Marion, with the Rev. James Kermit Sharp, grandfather of the bride, officiating.
Parents of the couple are Mr. And Mrs. Jerome Sharp and Mr. And Mrs. Jerry Harper.
Grandparents of the bride are the Rev. and Mrs. James Kermit Sharp of Philadelphia and the late Mr. and Mrs. Aubrey F. Engell of Marion.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are Ida Mae Netherland of Brookhaven, the late Loney Martin and the late Mr. and Mrs. Eli Brown Harper.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Joyce Tillery, organist; Laura Jo Wedgeworth, handbells and pianist; Randall Harper, Chuck Harper and Shirley Sollie, soloists.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a sleeveless gown of ivory matte satin featuring a scooped neckline, embroidered bodice and cathedral-length train. Her satin bound, double illusion fingertip-length veil fell from a headpiece of peach rosettes and pearls. She carried a teardrop bouquet of peach stargazer lilies and cream roses.
Angela Taylor served as matron of honor and Jennifer Matthews was maid of honor. Other attendants were Jamie Williams, Amiee Gough and Jessica Burroughs.
Scott Duncan served as best man. Groomsmen were Alan Hatcher, Denny Jowers, Brad Young and Kiley Sharp, brother of the bride.
Flower girls were Taylor and Brooke Weatherby, Amber Rice and Lauren Harper. Ring bearer was Zachary Engell.
Candle lighters were Meagan and Amanda Cassell. Patrick Harper served as Bible carrier and the aisle runner was set in place by Zach Harper.
A reception was held in the fellowship hall of the church following the ceremony. Assisting were Kelly Farmer, Christy Newell, Kelly Bunyard, Candice Mclnnis and Kim Phillips.
After a honeymoon in Jamaica, the couple resides in Tupelo.
