Pumpkin Palooza returns Saturday

The Franklin County Chamber of Commerce is hosting its third annual Pumpkin Palooza this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at City Lake Park in Russellville. Admission is free. Activities include a Scarecrow Trail with displays sponsored by local businesses.
Festivalgoers will have the opportunity to enjoy music and shop from vendors, including food, candy and other items, as well as to have fun listening to music and visiting characters that may be on hand for the festivities. The mini harvest festival features a variety of scarecrows, photo booths and pumpkins. Costumes are welcome.
“The Pumpkin Palooza Scarecrow Trail is a wonderful event allowing families to get out and enjoy time together,” said Chamber director Cassie Medley. “We encourage children to wear their costumes; a trick-or-treat bag will be given at the entrance to the trail.  The Chamber is looking forward to seeing the sponsors’ creativity in their scarecrows.”
