Partnership Banquet highlights Franklin County accomplishments
Michael and Jessica Mann receive the beautification award for Phil Campbell for their building revitalization, opening and running their restaurant, Faelynn’s Place, in downtown Phil Campbell.
The Red Bay beautification award goes to owner Denisha Tiffin and her team at Happy Hollow Outdoors.
The Russellville beautification award goes to Good Shepherd Catholic Church for completion of their new sanctuary.
The Franklin County at Large beautification award goes to Bear Creek Collaborative for giving the former Bear Creek Education Center at Overton Farm in Hodges long-needed updates to improve the functionality and overall appearance.
Happy Hollow Outdoors of Red Bay receives the Business of the Year award.
Farmhouse Table Cafe in downtown Russellville receives the “Sprout” Business of the Year award, a new category for a “budding” Franklin County business.
Northwest Shoals Community College receives Franklin County’s Best Kept Secret award.
Virginia Burks, City Clerk and Magistrate for the Town of Phil Campbell, receives the distinguished service award for Phil Campbell.
Scottie Belue, retired police officer, receives the distinguished service award for Red Bay.
Joel Davis receives the distinguished service award for Russellville.
Andy Marbutt, Phil Campbell Fire Chief and Phil Campbell Rescue Squad Chief, receives the volunteer of the year award.
Andy Gault receives the Roger Bedford Unsung Hero Award.
Kelly Moore receives the Hall of Fame award.
In the print edition of this week’s paper, the winners for the educator of the year awards were incorrectly listed, naming last year’s winners. This year’s winners are Kamri Fleming, for Franklin County Schools, and Tanya Cleveland, for Russellvillle City Schools. The Franklin County Times regrets the error.
The annual Franklin County Partnership banquet, sponsored by the Franklin County Chamber of Commerce and the Franklin County Development Authority, took place March 7 at the A.W. Todd Centre in downtown Russellville.
