BIRMINGHAM, Ala. David Dewayne Chambers of Meridian received his doctor of ministry degree from Samford University during commencement May 26.
Sally L. Stacey of Meridian has received the $1,000 Fulcher-Bailey Memorial Scholarship at Mississippi State University School of Architecture.
Stacey is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gary Stacey. She is a 2001 graduate of Meridian High School.
Three area students are participating in the Cooperative Education Program at Mississippi State University.
The five-year program allows students in various fields to affiliate with a business, industrial or governmental firm while enrolled at the university.
Nathan Scott Waddell of DeKalb is majoring in management and information systems while working as a co-op student in Jackson with the Mississippi Department of Information Technology Services.
John Robert Pepper of Quitman and Mark Douglas Fleming of Philadelphia are both majoring in golf and sports turf management. Both are working as co-op students in West Point with Old Waverly Golf Course.
