Golfers should have no problem finding a tournament to play in this weekend as at least three are slated for area courses.
Northwood Country Club will be hosting the annual Ed Lewis Memorial Day Tournament, today-Monday.
The defending champions are Jimmy Carle and Johnny Dement. They'll be teeing off on No. 1 today.
Also in this year's tournament are the teams of Steve Nelson and Joel Nelson and Scott Morgan and Judge Little.
Newton Country Club will host a two-person select tournament, Sunday-Monday. Entry fee is $25 per person. For more information on the 36-hole tournament, call Joel Nelson at 601-683-3101 or 683-3770, Clay Chapman at 683-3351 or 683-3422, or Jay Powell at 282-0817.
Philadelphia Country Club will host a two-person tournament, today-Sunday.
In today's round, teams will play nine holes of scramble and nine holes of four-ball. On Sunday, they will play nine holes of alternate shot and nine
holes of total score.
For more information, call Joe Rush Jr. at 601-656-4066 (day) or 656-3900 (evening) or Jason Fulton at 656-6000 (day) or 656-1310 (evening). It is the board policy at PCC this year that residents of Neshoba County who are not members of PCC will not be able to participate in its tournaments.
