    Retired
    Services for Frances Louise Perry will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Russell officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
    Mrs. Perry, 70, of Meridian, died Monday, March 15, 2004, in her home. She was retired from Peavey Electronics and Service Merchandise. She was a member of Oakland Heights Baptist Church and The American Legion Auxiliary. She will be remembered as a gift from God to all who knew her and that she loved her family with all of her heart.
    Survivors include her husband, William J. "Bill" Perry of Meridian; a daughter, Glenda Luke and her husband, Leon, of Wiseman, Ark.; step-children, Carol Ann Ethridge and her husband, Ray, of Meridian and Bill Perry Jr. and his wife, Janie, of Texas; grandchildren, Sherry Davidson and her husband, Steve, of Conway, Ark., and Scott Anderson of Batesville, Ark.; sisters, Nita Massey and her husband, Jimmy, of Pearl and Faye Palmer of Meridian; brothers, Buddy Reid and his wife, Sue, of Daleville, Ronnie Reid and his wife, Debbie, of Collinsville and Bill Reid and his wife, J.J., of Pinesprings; great-grandchildren, Tyler Talkington, Allison Talkington, A.J. Talkington, Jeffrey Anderson and Kayla Anderson; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, Grace and Vester Reid Sr.; and a granddaughter, Angela Michelle Allen.
    Pallbearers will be Tyler Talkington, Jeffrey Anderson, Chris Reid, Ron Reid, Donnie Massey and Steve Bolin.
    Visitation will be today 4 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

    NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. Services for Jean Bryan Collins will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at Griffin-Leggett-Rest Hills Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dr. James Farmer officiating.
    Mrs. Collins, 75, of North Little Rock, formerly of Meridian, died Monday, March 15, 2004, in North Little Rock.
    Survivors include her sisters, Sally Bryan Hoover of Beaumont, Texas, Barbara Clark Brennan of New Orleans and Rebecca Clark Sullivan; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, William N. Collins; her parents, Dorothy Myles Clark and James Bryan; and a sister, Eleanor Bryan Wood of Mobile, Ala.

    Visitation will be today 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
    Public school teacher
    Services for Mary Ellen Leggett Cater will be held Friday at 11:30 a.m. at Poplar Springs Drive United Methodist Church with the Revs. Richard Robbins and Jim Wall officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery. Barham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Mrs. Cater, 91, of Meridian, died Tuesday, March 16, 2004, at King's Daughters and Sons Rest Home. Mrs. Cater was born in Wiggins and was a member of Poplar Springs Drive United Methodist Church in Meridian. She was a former member of First United Methodist Church of West Point and the Junior Auxiliary there. She taught public school and worked with the prison ministry. She loved her garden and playing bridge, but most of all she loved her family and her church. She was a graduate of Mississippi State College for Women, now Mississippi University for Women, with a degree in biology.
    Survivors include her daughter, Sue Cater Nicholas and her husband, Jim, of Flushing, N.Y.; sons, Eugene Felix Cater Jr. and his wife, Boyd, of Easley, S.C., and Robert Joseph Cater and his wife, Jamie, of Meridian; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Eugene Felix Cater Sr.; two sisters, Bernice Leggett Lovan and Annie Sue Leggett Hamilton.
    Memorials may be made to Aldersgate Retirement Center.
    Pallbearers will be Ed Nicholas, Jay Nicholas, David Cater, Phil Cater, Rob Cater, Everette Hill, Will Harris and Kane Mathis.
    Visitation will be Friday 10:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. at the church.
    Services for Louis Douglas will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at Pearlie Grove Baptist Church in Quitman with the Revs. Larry Douglas and David Viverette officiating. Burial will be in Shiloh Cemetery. Berry and Gardner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Douglas, 77, of Quitman, died Tuesday, March 16, 2004, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
    Survivors include his wife, Earline Douglas of Quitman; daughters, Rosie Horton of Fredericksburg, Va., Linda Scott of Atlanta, Brenda Riley of San Antonio, Texas, Sandra Kelly of Augusta, Ga., Earnestine Banks of Melvin, Ala., Dorothy Peebles, Shirley McLaughlin and Deborah King, all of Quitman; sons, the Rev. Larry Douglas of Chicago, Billy Ray Douglas of Hattiesburg and Davis Douglas of Quitman; brothers, Zachary Douglas of Mobile, Ala., and Johnny Douglas of Quitman; 34 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
    Visitation will be today 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at the church.
    Services for Lorene S. Doner will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel.
    Mrs. Doner, 64, of Collinsville, died Wednesday, March 17, 2004, in her home.
    Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
    NEWTON Services for Anthony B. Jenkins will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Marney Ray Hollingsworth and Clifton Thornton officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Methodist Church Cemetery.
    Mr. Jenkins, 56, of Lawrence, died Tuesday, March 16, 2004, at Heartfelt Hospice in Meridian.
    Survivors include his wife, JoAnn Jenkins of Lawrence; daughters, Roxanne Bradley and her husband, David, of Conehatta and Crystal Henderson and her husband, Eric, of Lawrence; a son, Michael Anthony Jenkins of Lawrence; sisters, Sherry Hollingsworth of Lake, Debbie Freehour of Walnut Grove and Patricia Dorman of Jackson; three grandchildren, Katie Bradley and Kimberly Bradley, both of Conehatta, and Ty Jenkins of Butler, Ala.; and an aunt, Jeanette McCormick of Decatur.
    He is preceded in death by his brother, Randy Earl Jenkins; and his parents, Clyde and Earvine Jenkins.
    Pallbearers will be Randy Jenkins, David Hollingsworth, Destry Hollingsworth, Lester Reed, Jr. Robinson and James Jones.
    Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
    Services for Elizabeth McClain will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Old Enterprise Baptist Church with the Rev. Willie J. Nathan officiating. Burial will be in Musgrove Cemetery. Latimer Metropolitan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
