Erin McCollum of Toomsuba and Ricky Youngblood of Meridian were married Saturday, June 28, 2003, in a candlelight ceremony at Jones Chapel Church of God with the Revs. Dale Carter and Dennis Dunn officiating.
Parents of the couple are Donald and Dianne McCollum of Toomsuba, Helen Youngblood of Meridian and the late Edward Youngblood of Jackson.
The bride is the granddaughter of Claudia Shelton.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are Eunice Youngblood of Jackson and the late Alvin Youngblood.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Melody Black, organist; and Brenna Carter, vocalist and niece of the bridegroom.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a white satin off-the-shoulder A-line gown was enhanced with beaded lace and floral appliqued accents. The gown extended into a cathedral-length train. Her waist-length satin edged veil fell from a headpiece. She carried a bouquet of roses.
Tracie Dunn of Mobile, Ala., served as maid of honor. Bridesmaid was Nichole Edwards of Lisman, Ala.
Rebekah Carter of Conway, Ark., niece of the bridegroom, was flower girl.
Benjamin Hull of Meridian served as best man. Groomsmen and ushers were Michael Herring, Chris Thrash and Charlie Nicklas, all of Meridian, and Johnathan Arnold of North Little Rock, Ark., nephew of the bridegroom.
Trey Carter of Conway, nephew of the bridegroom, served as ring bearer.
Rice bag attendants were Alyssa Arnold and Teresa Arnold, both of North Little Rock and nieces of the bridegroom.
Guest book attendant was Ashley Carter of Conway, niece of the bridegroom.
A reception was held in the church Family Life Center following the ceremony.
Assisting at the reception were Beverly Terry, June Reynolds, Geneine Arnold, Erin Carter, Diana Shelton and Rachel Shelton.
After a honeymoon in Pigeon Forge, Tenn., the couple resides in Meridian.
