Auditions set for Newton Theatre production

Anyone interested in trying out for the Newton Theatre Company gospel musical "Sanders Family Christmas" can audition Saturday, Sunday and Tuesday.
The Newton Theatre Company plans to stage the play Dec. 12, 14 and 15 at the Roxy Theater. Auditions will be 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, 2 p.m.-4 p.m. Sunday and 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Characters include Mervin Oglethrope, pastor of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church; parents Burl and Vera Sanders; Uncle Stanley; daughter June; twins Dennis and Denise; Maude and Myrtle; and the Mount Pleasant Church congregation.
