The Phil Campbell 6U Dixie Youth baseball team finished third in their World Series in Center, Texas, on Sunday. Montgomery, Ala., eliminated them in the semifinals by a score of 17-6. PC finished the series with a record of 4-2.

Phil Campbell defeated Oakdale, Louisiana, 14-6 in four innings on Saturday to begin tournament play.

In pool play, Phil Campbell went 3-1, beating Oakdale 11-10, Ruston, Louisiana 9-4, Hattiesburg, Mississippi 5-4 and losing to Lincoln County, Mississippi, 14-10.

It was an incredible run for the youngsters who finished runners up in the state of Alabama before being invited to participate in the World Series, surely resulting in memories of a lifetime for players, parents, grandparents, family and friends.

The team members are Zander Maddox, August Hamlet, Beau Harris, Beck Waid, Ben Duboise, Bentley Franklin, Carson White, Ellie Williams, Gunnar Rambo, Jacob Adams, Kenden Snider and Lawson Hamby, coached by Matt Waid, Tanner Maddox, Eli Snider and Ron Harris.
