Lois Miles Pace
Lois Miles Pace, 84, went to be with her Lord and Savior Feb. 27 at Walker Baptist Medical Center, Jasper. She was born Feb. 20, 1933, to John P. Miles and Margaret Emma Tittle Miles in Lynn. She married Bill Pace, and he preceded her in death in June 1997.
Lois worked for many years at United Technologies, both in Converse and Huntington, Ind. She retired from there in 1995 and moved to Red Bay. She was a member of Red Bay Freewill Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading and cooking and especially loved the holidays and spending time with family.
Services were March 3 at 1:30 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, with Bro. Steve Lindsay officiating. Burial was in Red Bay City Cemetery, Red Bay.
She is survived by her twin brother, Lloyd Miles and his wife, Christine, of Jasper; three grandchildren, Heather Becker and husband Nick and Suzi Russell and husband Wayne, all of Osceola, Ind., and Eric Bryant of Alabama; great-grandchildren, Rilee and Carson Taege, Jake Becker and Briar and Ellie Russell; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by a son, Billy W. Pace, and a daughter, Linda Prill.
Visitation was March 3 from noon to 1:30 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay.
