Heath fair informs seniors
Attendees enjoy lunch and conversation during the Senior Health Fair at the A.W. Todd Center Thursday.
The Franklin County Extension and Foster Grandparent Program hosted a Senior Health Fair Oct. 13 at the A.W. Todd Center in Russellville.
The free fair exposed seniors to topics like “Do I Really Need an Estate Plan” (presented by Probate Judge Barry Moore) and “Dangerous Infections Concerning Seniors” (presented by Red Bay Hospital registered nurse Sonya Faulkner). Other topics included social security, retirement jobs, diabetes, advanced directives and a presentation by NACOLG.
The free fair ran from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and included lunch as well as exhibitor and vendor booths for pertinent senior services.
