Shirley May Cornelius

Shirley May Cornelius, age 69, of Leighton, passed away Sept. 13 at her residence.

The visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Sept. 16 at Hopewell Church of Christ in Leighton. The funeral will follow at 11 a.m. with Bro. Danny Whitfield officiating. Burial will be in the adjourning church cemetery.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Joe Cornelius; daughter, Rebecca Lynn Fike; parents, Rollie and Elsie Stewart; and several brothers.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 26 years, Ronnie Grissom; her children, Sandra Jeffreys and husband Scott, Billy Cornelius and wife Jennifer, Jeffrey Cornelius and wife Brittany; 17 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Reed and husband Richard; brothers, Tommy Stewart and Leonard Stewart; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The pallbearers will be the grandsons, Christopher Cornelius, Tyler Cornelius, Ronnie Cummings, Tyler Landers, Jacob Green and Adrian Jeffreys.
