Eugenia Frances Walden Nixon, 92, passed away Friday, July 10, 2015 at The Terrace at Priceville, Decatur. She was born in Booneville, Miss. to John Sidney Walden & Effie Walden. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Red Bay and was a charter member of the Red Bay Garden Club. She retired as the Executive Director of Red Bay Housing Authority after 40 years.
Graveside services were Sunday, July 12, at Red Bay City Cemetery, Red Bay. Bro. Bill Harper officiated. Burial was in Red Bay City Cemetery, Red Bay.
Survivors are one son, Nicky Nixon and wife, Charlotte, Decatur; grandchildren, Amy Jackson and husband, Brad, Decatur, Leigh Ann Wise and husband, Reagan, Tupelo, Miss. and Sally Coulson and husband, Owen, Birmingham, and eight great-grandchildren, Mary Bradford Jackson, Gray Jackson, Charlotte Wise, John David Wise, Catherine Wise, Maury Coulson, Carter Coulson and Caroline Coulson.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Lee Nixon and a brother, Guynes Walden.
Pallbearers were Johnnie Weatherford, John Bostick, Alan Bostick, Reagan Wise, Brad Jackson and Owen Coulson.
