Russellville Hospital named top performer
Russellville Hospital was named Top Performer on Key Quality Measures® by The Joint Commission, the leading accreditor of health care organizations in America.
Russellville Hospital was recognized for its achievement on the following measure sets: surgical care, heart attack, and pneumonia.
This year is the third consecutive year that the hospital was recognized as a Top Performer. Russellville Hospital was also recognized as a Top Performer for 2010 and 2011 for the pneumonia and surgical care measure sets.
Russellville Hospital is one of 1,099 hospitals in the U.S. earning the distinction of Top Performer on Key Quality Measures for attaining and sustaining excellence in accountability measure performance.
Each accountability measure represents an evidence-based practice – for example, giving aspirin at arrival for heart attack patients and giving antibiotics one hour before surgery.
“We understand that what matters most to patients at Russellville Hospital is safe, effective care,” said Christine Stewart, CEO of Russellville Hospital.
“This recognition is yet another example of the high quality care provided at Russellville Hospital and the teamwork of our physicians and employees. Russellville Hospital is proud to receive the distinction of being a Joint Commission Top Performer on Key Quality Measures.”
