    OBITUARIES FOR FRIDAY, NOV. 16, 2001

    FRANK ALLEN
    Retired production manager
    BEAUMONT, Texas Memorial services for Frank Allen were held Nov. 8 at Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home.
    Mr. Allen, 75, of Brookeland, died Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2001, in his home. He was a native of Meridian and employed as a production manager with National Linen Service.
    Survivors include a son, Mike Allen of Beaumont; a brother, Mickey Allen of Brookeland, a grandson, Andrew Allen of Beaumont; and a stepson, Chad Walshire of College Station.
    He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Mautez Allen.
    The family requests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 5144 Beaumont, TX 77706.
    GRADY L. DUKES
    Retired from Dukes
    Auto Electric Co.
    Services for Grady L. Dukes will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Stephens Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Frank Tribble, James Ruffin, Charles Davis and Dr. Thad Moore officiating. Burial will be in Graham Cemetery.
    Mr. Dukes, 81, of Meridian, died Thursday, Nov. 15, 2001, at Guardian Angel Hospice. He was a member of Poplar Springs Drive Baptist Church and the Gideon's. Mr. Dukes served as deputy sheriff under Sheriff J.L. Morgan and was an ordained deacon. He was a veteran of World War II.
    Survivors include his wife, Edna Dukes of Meridian; a son, Donald Wayne Dukes and his wife, Cindi, a grandson, David Lamar Dukes and a granddaughter, Donna L. Dukes, all of Sulphur, La.
    The family requests memorials be made to Poplar Springs Drive Baptist Church Building Fund.
    Pallbearers will be Lenard Clark, M.L. "Buddy" Coleman, Sam Fulton, Eddie Lummus, Lee Davison, Lamar McDonald Jr. and Ed Allen.
    Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
    GERALD R. HERRINGTON
    Retired Mississippi Highway Patrol
    Services for Gerald R. Herrington will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. David Nelson, Ennis Hyman and Stan Nelson officiating. Burial will be in Newton County Memorial Gardens at 1 p.m.
    Mr. Herrington, 69, of Little Rock, died Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2001, in Port Richey, Fla. He was employed with the Mississippi Highway Patrol for 28 years. He was a member of Collinsville First Church of God and the Queen City Good Sam's R.V. Club. Mr. Herrington was a veteran of the Korean Conflict.
    Survivors include his wife, Della F. Herrington of Little Rock; two daughters, Wanda Kay Cincar and her husband, Robert Sr., of Athens, Texas, and Juanita M. Stafford and her husband, Tommy, of Port Richey; a son, Rod H. Wing and his wife, Barbara, of Meridian; 10 grandchildren, Stephanie Humphrey, Samantha Leslie, Carrie Carpenter and Tiffany Daniels, all of Alabama, Kristian N. Daniels of Florida, Robert G. Cincar Jr., Timothy R. Cincar and Mark A. Cincar of Texas, Pattie Carol Wing and T. Rodney Wing of Meridian and three great-grandchildren; six brothers, Charles Herrington, Jim Herrington and Chester Herrington, all of Louisville, Max Herrington of Birmingham, Ala., Connice Herrington of Meridian and Billy Herrington of Gulfport; aunts, Mrs. Lee Howington of Little Rock and Mrs. Andrew Montague of Union; an uncle, Oscar Herrington of Little Rock; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, the Rev. James H. and Lora Gordon Herrington; and a brother, Ruffus Herrington.
    The family requests memorials be made to Pasco and Hernando's Original Hospice, 12107 Majestic Blvd., Hudson, FL 34667 (800-486-6787).
    Pallbearers will be Mark Sharp, Bill Joyner, Charles Herrington, Chekie Herrington, Stevie Herrington, Rudy Herrington, Larry Meyers, W.G. Pace, Charles Staton, P.G. Hill and Harold Newell.
    Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Mississippi Highway Patrol and Queen City Good Sam's R.V. Club.
    Visitation will be today from 6 p.m.-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
    EARNEST BLANKS
    Services for Earnest Blanks will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Clark's Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Richard Parker officiating. Burial will be in Daleville Cemetery.
    Mr. Blanks, 51, of Bailey, died Monday, Nov. 12, 2001, in his home.
    Survivors include three brothers, Ronnie Blanks of Little Rock, Eddie Blanks and Stancil Blanks, both of Bailey; and two sisters, Sarah Hudson and Anna Adams of Bailey.
    JAMES GRACE
    Retired farmer/pipe fitter
    Services for James "Jack" Grace will be held Saturday at noon at Brown Ridge Baptist Church in DeKalb, with the Rev. Bennie Hopkins Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in DeKalb with Clark's Memorial Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Grace, 88, of DeKalb, died Monday, Nov. 12, 2001, at Kemper County Nursing Home.
    Survivors include his wife, Pearl Grace of DeKalb; four sons, Willie Grace and his wife, Ida, of Ft. Meade, Fla., Willie James Grace and his wife, Geraldine, Curtis Grace and his wife, June, all of Meridian, and Bobby Grace of DeKalb; eight daughters, Annie Jean McCaleb and her husband, William, Zula Stewart and her husband, James, all of Meridian, Katie Mae Barfield and her husband, James, of Daleville, Inda Williams and her husband, Walter, of Forkland, Ala., Anna Craigs and her husband, Gene, and Rose McGrew and her husband, Wydell, all of Preston, Ella Nave and her husband, Reuben, of Scooba, and Cora Ann Blanks of Lauderdale; three brothers, T.C. Grace and John Grace, both of Meridian, and Wes Grace of DeKalb; two sisters, Zula Hudson of Meridian and Ella Jane Grace of Daleville; 54 grandchildren and 61 great-grandchildren.
    Visitation will be today from 4 p.m.-6 p.m. at the funeral home.

    Laborer
    DEKALB Services for A.C. Adams will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at St. Mary Baptist Church in Meridian, with the Rev. Tony Burks officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens in Meridian with E.E. McDonald Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Adams, 47, of Meridian, died Friday, Nov. 9, 2001, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Ky.
    Survivors include his wife, Willie Mae Adams, two sons, Albert C. Hodges and Michael Adams, his mother, Juanita B. Adams, and his grandmother, Annie Brogan, all of Meridian; a grandchild; a brother, Will Brogan of Indianapolis; a sister, Annie Collins of Meridian; and several nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and other relatives and friends.
    Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. at E.E. McDonald Community Chapel in Meridian.
