    OBITUARIES FOR MONDAY, NOV. 12, 2001

    KENNETH GABRIEL GIBSON
    BUTLER, Ala. Graveside services for Kenneth Gabriel Gibson will be held today at 11:30 a.m. at Pleasant Hill Cemetery with the Revs. Bobby Brown and Edgar Jenkins officiating. Bumpers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Infant Gibson died Saturday, Nov. 10, 2001, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
    Survivors include his parents, Kenneth Dwight and Miranda Mazingo Gibson of the Pleasant Hill Community; a half-sister, Christian Alesander Buchanan; two half-brothers, Jonathan Pruitt and Josh Pruitt; paternal grandmother, Leona Gibson; and his maternal grandparents, D.C. and Rebecca Mazingo.
    JAMES ALVIN RUSH
    Retired salesman, bank employee
    Services for James Alvin "Jim" Rush will be held today at 11:30 a.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Russell Luquire, Lavelle Woodrick and Jack Brown officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
    Mr. Rush, 71, of Meridian, died Saturday, Nov. 10, 2001, at Guardian Angel Hospice. He was a retired automotive parts salesman and an employee of Citizens National Bank. He was a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church. Mr. Rush was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
    Survivors include his wife, Julia B. Rush of Meridian; two sons, Jim Rush and his wife, Fonda, and Jack Rush and his wife, Sheri, all of Meridian; two daughters, Janis Peel and her husband, Mike, of Friendswood, Texas, and June Clayton and her husband, Mike, of Meridian; and 10 grandchildren.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, Clark and Lena Rush and a brother, William T. Rush.
    The family requests memorials be made to a favorite charity or the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church.
    CLINTON LUKE
    Retired farmer
    PHILADELPHIA Services for Clinton Luke will be held today at 1 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Service Chapel with the Rev. Lawrence Pool officiating. Burial will be in Coy Methodist Cemetery in Preston.
    Mr. Luke, 89, of Preston, died Saturday, Nov. 10, 2001, at Riley Hospital.
    Survivors include his wife, Mavis Luke of Preston; two daughters, Marlene Madison of Preston and Charlotte Gillis of Pearl; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
    He was preceded in death by a son, Ralph Luke.
    SANDRA BEDSOLE CLEMENTS
    GILBERTOWN, Ala. Services for Sandra Bedsole Clements will be held today at 2 p.m. at Millry Baptist Church with the Rev. Billy Kendricks officiating. Phillips Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Mrs. Clements, 39, of Millry, died Saturday, Nov. 10, 2001, in her home.
    Survivors include her husband, Dwayne Clements, a son, Christopher Clements and a daughter, Brittany Clements, all of Millry; a brother, Billy Bedsole Jr. of Demopolis; and two sisters, Wendy Poellnitz of Demopolis and Lisa O'Brien of Dallas.
    The family requests memorials be made to Washington Co. chapter of the American Cancer Society.
    ADA BROWN
    Homemaker
    PHILADELPHIA Services for Ada Brown will be held today at 3 p.m. at Old Mars Hill Church with the Revs. Lloyd Adcock and Lonoia Burks officiating. Burial will be in Mars Hill Cemetery in Winston County with McClain-Hays Funeral Service in charge of arrangements.
    Mrs. Brown, 90, of Carthage, died Saturday, Nov. 10, 2001, in her home.
    Survivors include her husband, Hugh Brown of Carthage; a son, Joe Douglas Brown of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by a son, Winford Brown.
    ROBERT LEE HENDERSON
    Retired car salesman
    DEKALB Services for Robert Lee Henderson will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Stephens Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. James Ruffin and Julian Stennis officiating. Burial will be in Pinecrest Cemetery.
    Mr. Henderson, 78, of DeKalb, died Sunday, Nov. 11, 2001, at Riley Hospital. He was a member of DeKalb Baptist Church and the local VFW. Mr. Henderson was a veteran of World War II.
    Survivors include his wife, Gladys Henderson of DeKalb; two sons, Jim Henderson of DeKalb and Jeff Henderson of Kiln; two grandsons, Bobby Henderson and Stacey Henderson; a great-grandson, Chase Henderson; two sisters, Margaret Shelton of Brandon and Dorothy Nell Barnes of DeKalb.
    He was preceded in death by a brother, Durwood Henderson.
    Pallbearers will be John Lee Harbour, Joe Rush, Fred Henderson, Roger Henderson, Robert Hudspeth, John Adam Hudspeth, Bobby Henderson and Stacey Henderson.
    Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. at the funeral home in DeKalb.
    JOYCE L. ASTOR

    Graveside services for Joyce L. Astor will be held Tuesday at noon at Forest Lawn Cemetery with Chaplain Karl Willoughby officiating. Barham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Mrs. Astor, 63, of Mossy Head, Fla., died Sunday, Nov. 11, 2001, in her home. She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church.
    Survivors include a daughter, Dessie Denise Risher and her husband, Jay, of Mossy Head; two sons, David Astor Jr. of Meridian and Freddy Astor and his wife, Melissa, of Mossy Head; three grandchildren, Shae Ann Astor, Jeromy Astor and David Astor and three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Leoda Dearman and her husband, Hulon, of Meridian and Sara Barrow of Pace, Fla.; and a brother, Richard Watson and his wife, Mickey, of Lithia Springs, Ga.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, David Edward Astor Sr.; and a sister, Dorathy Steed.
    Visitation will be Tuesday beginning at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
