Through Oct. 26 Natchez Fall Pilgrimage featuring 18 architectural gems opening for guided tours. All are listed on the National Register of Historic Places, seven are honored as National Historic Landmarks, all date to the mid-1860s or before. Tickets are $23 per person. Oct. 18-19 The 11th Annual Hospitality Fall Festival. More than 100 arts and craft booths with samplings of arts and crafts from all over the South. Applications for booth spaces are available; call the Booneville Area Chamber of Commerce at (662) 728-4130. Registration fees for booths are: arts and crafts booths, $30 ($35 with electricity), and food booths, $75.
Oct. 19-20 The Jefferson Davis Home and Presidential Library will commemorate the 1862 Battle of Pass Christian along the Mississippi Gulf Coast with the staging of the 16th Annual Beauvoir Fall Muster from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. The national historic landmark is on U.S. 90 in Biloxi. Oct. 25-27 Greenville Balloon Festival in downtown Greenville with entertainment, balloon glows, competition balloon flights, a carnival and a day festival. Call Amanda Williams, (662) 334-2072.
Nov. 2-3 18th Annual Homemakers Arts &Crafts Show &Sale at the Frank Cochran Center in Highland Park. Saturday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sunday noon-5 p.m. Admission is 50 cents. Homemade soup and chili and other goodies will be on sale.
Nov. 29-Jan. 5 The largest oak grove in the world, 1,500 acres at New Orleans City Park's Botanical Garden, is sprinkled with tens of thousands of Christmas lights and ornaments during Celebration in the Oaks. Puppet shows will run nightly at the Storyland Children's pavilion and Santa will visit with children through Dec. 23.
