Russellville Hospital CEO speaks to retirees association
She Says
Chris Ware, chief executive officer at Russellville Hospital, spoke to the members of the Franklin County Education Retirees Association recently about how they can receive quality medical services locally.
“Our dedicated teams of professionals are here to provide exceptional medical care tailored to your needs,” Ware said.
Ware has been CEO of Russellville Hospital since September 2024. His responsibilities include overseeing the strategic direction, financial management, and operational efficiency of the hospital. A former CEO of a hospital in Mississippi, Ware was recently appointed to the state Legislative and Regulatory Committee for the Alabama Hospital Association.
In his presentation, Ware detailed ways the hospital’s pain management doctors provide compassionate, expert care to alleviate pain. Some of the treatments available include those for lower and upper back pain, herniated discs, knee pain, nerve pain and cancer pain.
Medical services include diagnostic services, emergency medicine, family medicine, home health and physical therapy.
According to Ware, there is a huge population that has sleep apnea and doesn’t even know it. This is one of the major reasons Ware wanted to reopen the Sleep Center at Russellville Hospital. The Sleep Center is fully accredited with the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.
Some of the club’s members spoke highly of the services they had received at Russellville Hospital.
In the absence of President Sandy Gibson, Vice President Brenda Oliver presided over the meeting. She welcomed everyone and said Gibson and Judy Ory were attending an Alabama Education Retirees Association meeting and dinner in Montgomery.
Gayle McAlister gave the devotion. Valley Credit Union provided the luncheon. Members brought canned goods for the chapter’s food pantry project to help homeless people. Delegates to the April 29 AERA meeting in Montgomery were approved.
