Knuckleboom truck costs city $210,920
RUSSELLVILLE – The city has purchased a 2025 Mack MD7 Knuckleboom truck for $210,920 for the Street Department.
City Clerk Belinda Miller said the truck is in use and replaces a truck that was wrecked and totaled out by the insurance company.
The wrecked truck will be fixed to be used as a spare, she said.
Miller added the Knuckleboom truck is used to pick up debris and other items, which can include old furniture, that are set out by property owners.
“We have three of these trucks that run three different routes in the city limits,” said Shannon Wilson, manager of the Street Department. “I would like to thank the mayor and the city council for getting us a new truck.”
Wilson said he expects the truck to last “12 years, give or take” a few years.
