Russellville Fire Department spearheads effort to help hurricane victims
The Russellville Fire Department is teaming up with local businesses to help with victims of Hurricane Helene. From Oct. 2-9, they will accept items to be delivered to those affected. RFD said although “the needs are many,” they are only asking for the following items and only in new condition.
REQUESTED ITEMS Cleaning Supplies – Mops, large garbage bags, laundry detergent, brooms, buckets with lids, general cleaning items, gloves and trash cans.
Storage Items – Plastic totes with lids, tarps, zip ties, and duct tape.
Debris Cleanup – Shovels, rakes, gloves, hammers, crowbars, batteries, flashlights, battery- powered lanterns, chainsaws, hand saws and capnails.
DROP-OFF LOCATIONS Russellville Fire Station #1, 8 a.m. – 7 p.m. — 1100 Jackson Ave. S.
Calvary Baptist Church, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., weekdays only.
