Letter to the Editor – Praise for Belgreen football game

Dear Editor,

Last Friday night, Belgreen High School played its first football game in 92 years. Kudos to the community.

It was estimated that anywhere from 300-400 people were in the stands.

Some observations from a Franklin County native who now lives in Georgia.

  1. It was a polite crowd.
  2. School spirit was strong and enthusiastic.
  3. Community pride was evident.
  4. Public/private partnership abounds in Franklin County.

Thank you to everyone who made this evening possible.  I enjoyed every minute of Friday night lights in Belgreen. I am proud to be a fifth-generation Hester.

Sincerely,

Paula Hovater

Roswell, Georgia
