Phil Campbell girls golf team advances to substate

The Phi Campbell girls golf team shot a 333 to finish second at their sectional golf tournament at Joe Wheeler State Park on Monday.

Lydia Garrison was the team’s leading scorer, shooting a 106.  Kylie Motes shot a 111, Ayla Stowe a 116 and Taylor Wallace a 123. Sarah Burks qualified as an individual after a one-hole playoff shooting a 113.

They will play in the substate on Monday at the Robert Trent Jones Silver Lakes golf course near Gadsden.
