WES student takes on UA baseball

Brady Odom, a second-grader from West Elementary School, participates in the Alabama Crimson Tide Baseball Youth Winter Camp Jan. 2-3. The camp was held in Tuscaloosa at the Hank Crisp indoor facility. At the conclusion of the first day, Brady was chosen Camper of the Day from his age group by Alabama pitcher Alton Davis II. He was selected because of his “great attitude, strong arm and hard hitting.” Brady was awarded a crimson wristband. This was his second year attending the camp. He played on the Shoals Creek 8U travel ball team during the 2022 fall season, winning two tournaments and building his skills and strengths on the field with support from his coaches, especially Coach Alex Martin, team parents and teammates, as well as Kevin Greenhill with pitching help.
