Belgreen gets football coach

The Franklin County Board of Education has scored a coach for the Belgreen High School football program.

At its Jan. 19 meeting, the board hired Luke Tucker to lead the first Belgreen football program in more than 50 years.

Belgreen will begin fielding a junior varsity team in fall 2023 with plans to build from there.

In other sports hires, the board also approved David Ward as baseball coach at East Franklin and Sander Tverberg as softball coach at Belgreen.
