Time’s running out in coloring contest

This is the final week for our annual Christmas Coloring Contest, in its third year in the Franklin County Times.

Starting with the Nov. 23 newspaper, each week we have featured a different coloring page for young artists of Franklin County to unleash their creativity.

Children through age 12 four chances to bring color to images of Santa, a snowman, a Christmas tree and, this week, a nutcracker.

A contest isn’t a contest without cool prizes. This year EVERY entrant is receiving a free box of crayons and a coloring book. A $25 Walmart gift card will be awarded to winners in three age divisions, as well.

All entries are due Dec. 16, and we will share the winning entries in the Dec. 21 FCT.

To find the coloring pages, just turn to page B8 of this week’s paper; A8 in the 12-7 paper; B8in the 11-30 paper; or A9 in the 11-23 paper. Children may enter more than once, but no photocopies will be accepted; if you need extra copies of any of the coloring pages, we have plenty at our office in the Byars Building in downtown Russellville.

No purchase is necessary to enter.

A slate of sponsors help us make this contest possible for the community each year, and we hope you will show them your thanks by patronizing their businesses this season and in the year to come.

Time’s running out. Let’s get coloring!
