Letter to the Editor: Big thank you to everyone who took part in Evening at Roxy

Dear editor:

The Franklin County Arts and Humanities Council appreciates the performers, sponsors and supporters of the W. C. Handy Evening at the Roxy with the Great Pretenders.

This was the 21st year for this show.  It was a success, with about 200 attending!

It’s wonderful how the Roxy provides a venue for our local talent. The arts council is appreciative of the community’s support of the Roxy events.

Katerina Cole-Coffey did an outstanding job as emcee.   

The following entertainers were outstanding performing as their favorite artists: Jonathan and Simmie Grace Grimes, McKelvey Grimes, Jacob McCarley, Jayne Wells, Angela Townsel, Jeff Allen, Keylee Mayfield, Tara Greenhill, Avery Guinn, Dana Hill, Jacob Green, Caroline Sparks, Sydney Medley, Adam Green, Meletha Walker, Lexie Thompson, Gunner Lane, Ally and Anna Oliver and Buford Parker.
