Phil Campbell holds town clean-up day

Phil Campbell is hosting a town clean-up day June 4, and all hands are needed to give the community a good sprucing up.

Volunteers are encouraged to meet at Phil Campbell Memorial Park at 8 a.m.

In the interest of safety, orange vests and grabbers will be available. Police offers will ride along behind.

“This is part of our efforts to revitalize the town,” explained Phil Campbell Mayor Mike McQuary. “We want to get the sides of the road picked up and make everything look nice before the Hoedown.”

McQuary said he hopes to see a big community turnout, noting Restoration Church’s youth group plans to participate.

“Our street and fire departments will be out with us,” he said. “We plan to have another community clean-up day perhaps in the fall.”
