Red Bay library gears up for summer reading program

Registration is under way for Red Bay Weatherford Library’s summer reading program.

“We haven’t been able to have the program in two years,” explained library director Linda Ezzell. “The program will start June 7 and go through June 28. It will run every Tuesday at 10 a.m. for Pre-K through fifth grade. The Pre-K kids will go in a separate room for story hour.”

Ezzell said the library plans to have some kind of entertainment and take-home activity bags for children each week. She stressed the importance of calling or visiting the library ahead of time to register children wishing to participate.
