RHS went 9-3 in 2021, and the Golden Tigers won Class 5A, Region 8, for the second consecutive year with no losses. Russellville advanced to the second round of the playoffs under head coach John Ritter.

Both Ritter and senior standout Nathan Brockway were invited to the AHSAA North-South game, held in Mobile. Ritter was a member of the coaching staff, and Brockway got playing time in the North’s 14-10 victory.

Two Golden Tigers received honorable mentions for the 2021 5A All-State team. Juniors Conner Warhurst and TJ King were included in the group of football stars for this season.
